B.S" "That was a CON!! - An' I don't mean CON-VICT"
NORMA McCarthy had a bee in her bonnet."WHAT ABOUT THE AUSTRALIAN?"

So went a larrikin conversation. A fairly amusing argument with a fairly argumentative Australian.
I coulda said "Yeah yeah the N.T Intervention was a warm up. They're comin' for your grandkids next."
To be fair, Australia's premier visionary and Outsider Artist WAS more than listening - she was WATCHING. Always.
A decade later what the Norma McCarthy was observed about the disappearing 'Australia' makes a lot more sense. It pairs with "ReCOGNITION" - only it's Australians who need to re-examine their presence, history and cultural identity. NOT in a TRUMPETTE Way either.
Transnational economics or globalism doesn't care if you're black, white or brindle. Structurally though in how it prioritises EDUCATION and HOW AND WHAT LAWS WE WRITE. Theoretically the LAW is appropriate to the CONTEXT.
Apparently all that complexity is fixed at the flick of a switch. The new imported information and technological systems. SWEET! BUT WE'RE NOT AMERICA - there's two HUNDRED YEARS OF stupid B.S that is utterly irrelevant here. A nation that knows it's True Stories is in a good position to learn how to dream up it's own future. At the moment we are walking on ORIGINAL Land but the powers that be seem keen to let the gears of industry grind very slowly.
Fortunately there remains within our communties the stories of solidarity, comradeship and fellowship that are a natural result of fallas living and working TOGETHER. Black, White and Brindle. Shared stories. Working class stories. - Maria Lesley Tonks (Aotearoa)

Australians as individuals need to reExamine and reCognise our OWN IDENTITY. NOT EVERY AUSTRALIAN is a racist dog by the 1960s and 1970s
Not even in the regional areas like #Mareeba. Even in places that voted NO in the 1967 referendum to end policies of assimilationism. Even in Western Australia over 80% of the population voted YES to what is essentially 'recognition'
#FreeAssange WE GOTTA KOWTOW to a foreign system? That's madness and it's on a par with failing to move along ABORIGINAL LANDRIGHTS.

"The people who do not cultivate their memory will never be able to construct their own history and will lack independence and sovereignty. They will not be able to interpret their past, confront the present or project their future." - Tupac Amaru II (1738 -1781) A leader in the Peruvian struggle for independence. *************************************************** Millions of ordinary people were written out of their own history by consolidated media ownership. The disappearing Australian wandered off into the sunset - hand in hand with the Labour Party. Australia died with the Whitlam government. You just couldn't tell something had changed because Royal weddings were still on tele and the cover of the now defunct Australian Women's Weekly. (Gentrification in the form of America's "Better Homes and Gardens" now takes the crown of biggest selling magazine in Australia)
The Disappearing Australian, wandered off into the sunset, hand in hand with the Labour Party! In both Australia and in England. Haha - the disappearance of ENGLAND itself? Well that is a story one for another day. RECOVERING AUSTRALIA.
