Australia's annual Roots  and Reggae Festival

We join the 2007 volunteers behind the Reggaetown Festival at Tjapakai.

Maiia:   Reggaetown and Envirofiesta are two of the most excellent days out/ community/family  initiatives,  in North Queensland.  I thoroughly recommend both festivals to locals and visitors alike as being representative of our real  tropical lifestyle.   

We're not talking big-city, raucus, crowded, rip-off.  Each spring Reggaetown Festival comes alive in the Cairns tropical rainforest of  North Queensland.   Catching the nice weather before summer, Reggaetown is laid-back and cruisey with delicious food, activities for adults and kids to participate in from drumming workshops, balloon sculpting, lamp-making, there are stalls and displays to wander round, selling everything from fresh coconut , to fire-sticks, and local handicrafts.
