Negative self-talk is like old spells we cast on ourself - Time spent saying   "I can't "  is our first hurdle

The annoyingest response to our best excuse  is...    "There's no such thing as can't"      Josie -"Is, Can, Will, Does!"  LOL_ Specially when a falla can/will come up with justifiable reasons why not.    toward learning HOW TO.  Nobody CAN -'til they learn.  

 

Often the reality is we have missed developmental stages, a fall out with the grade one teacher; expectations we weren't prepared for, un-healed abuse situations - damaged hearts.  -  One of our crew never learned to read til her mid 30's - next thing something happened and in a few months she's into big fat texts most of us slump at the mere sight.     -Could not- becomes - Can now!!!

Many of our references are from the big time achievers like Dr King or Ghandi.  People who We won't all get time to read all the books of the world -but ya come across some excellent quotes that show the approach and perspective of people who achieve results.  Really big fallas whose work lasts hundreds and thousands of years.  It's that well respected or well advertised.  

Music is an important learning resource, and the music folk an important source of wisdom, in their performance and created works and in their 'real job' teaching. Maybe because it's show business, shameless exhibitionism.    Also the big time achievers in the music dept, professors an' the like often still use human-speak, jargonising only in their specialist area.      David Liebman
