What an amazing effort! What an amazing collaboration! THE AUSSIE CONNECTION!!
Happy Feet opens as it means to go on with Tell Me Something Good Stevie Wonder wrote this for Chaka Khan with Rufus
Mumble a dancer in a community of singers. The soulful story of finding the heart 'song'. The oak tree in the heart of an acorn. Mumbles first dance track is Stevie's - I Wish. Savion Glover
Maiia: I first noticed Savion Glover in Spike Lee's film Bamboozled. LOL Apparently he did five years at Sesame St. More recently he's been collaborating with classical and jazz musicians including pianist McCoy Tyner.
Jazz Times: Glover marvels of Tyner, “You just realize who this man is, his contribution to the world of music. It is a complete honour and privilege to be mentioned in the same breath as McCoy Tyner, let alone performing on the same stage. The same goes for any one of those cats, like Wayne Shorter. I’m forever like a kid in that situation.”
Savion Glover did the dance sequence, the stop motion whatevery for Happy Feet. “My style is young. Funk. I feel like it's my responsibility to keep the dance alive, to keep it out there, to keep the style ” SAVION GLOVER |
