The founder and President of the non-profit global housing project, Habitat for Humanity Millard Fuller passed away Feb 2009.
WIKIPEDIA Millard decided that what the poor need is capital not charity. Presidential Medal of Freedom was awarded to Mr Fuller in 1996 which puts the work in the same basket as that of Mother Teresa.
"Fuller’s business expertise and entrepreneurial drive made him a millionaire at age 29. But as the business prospered, his health, integrity and marriage suffered.
