Maiia:(2008) - It's great to walk into a show or a function and have people give you a big smile and how ya goin'. Cairns in far north Queensland Mental Health Week Awards October 2008 Tanks Arts Centre and Exhibitions of Art Works was one of those warm and welcoming occasions.
It was great to see Ernest Hunter, present the Professional Contribution Award to Gaynor Ellis. Prof. Hunter's own reputation for professional contribution preceeds him.
The Humanitarian Award went to Jill Townsend. Greg Pratt presented the Media Award to Community Development Officer Steven Pelham Health Interactive Technology. HITnet
