Maiia Brindle

Rather than existing at the expense of the people involved, Brindle Style utilises a relational approach to creating community IndyMedia.  Editor and originator is Aotearoa visual artist Maiia who has a background in education, arts and the freepress traditions of the 1970s and 80s.

Folk across the street, across, oceans, across time, have essence values, linking us on Common ground, Solid Ground, Higher Ground, even Sacred Ground.

"I don't care whether you're black, white or brindle" was a language device used in community conversation to describe that we are now getting to the heart of a matter.  We've finally reached the Common ground, Solid Ground, Higher Ground, even Sacred Ground. Where ordinary distinctions are needless, useless, irrelevant and unnecessary.

"The Murri Grapevine is notoriously reliable and well-informed and if you step out - as JOURNALISM ONCE HAD TO every community has it's own political and social commentator and amateur economist.

Brindle Style isn't contrived to advance somebody's PR agenda, sell you a product, or in the words of wikipedia - 'persuade you to believe something that's not true.PWe're just part of the 2% of what we read, hear & view that comes from mainstreet.

"I do not believe in frontiers, barriers and flags. I believe we all belong, independently of latitudes and longitudes, independently to the same family which is the human family." Vitorrio Arrigoni
