Social Norms- more

People develop social norms ...  NOT institutions - we've seen what happens when governance becomes an entity-  the trust must be in our selves not in the machine/ civil-servants!

Oppurtunity to prosper- organised

We're quite well adapted to cope, if you consider the history.

So TO BE - happy productive families, communities and citizens within nations... academics 'talk' about social norms

And all this talking about is slow and expensive.

Oppurtunities to prosper, must be organised, from within our humanity, from within  community.  SELF DETERMINATION   (in court this week -a win for parents right to educate their children, removing this right is called genocide apparently.) but I digress...

The first 'social norms' link in google was

University of Virginia USA, National Social Norms Institute.  Despite being leaders in positive psychology, America seems focused backwards... the expensive way.

From there the search engines  go to...

A fascinating to unweildy site, a  WHOLE lot of paper shuffling going on in there One falla -4 years a weekly report - "Social Norms & Social Capital"

Still on page one of google is Cairns...Strong Foundations

A powerful contribution to global thinking.  Very closed door, academics hui this one though.  At 1000 dollars not many locals attended.

Still I had a good ear out - the presentations by subject were brilliant, timely, relevant and useful.

S omeone said - it'll go on-line - but na - intellectual property rights LOL!!!

Despite the disconnectedness that occurs, between citizens academics and government.
The Strong Foundations Conference 2007 inspired faith in govts awareness of community needs and a deeply authentic desire to serve by the participants.

The kink in the machine is communication and trust.  Movement from monarchy and colonialism, to some form of democracy and from the industrial to technolgical era.

Cogs painting from 1990's inspired by Diego Rivera's murals and Charlie Chaplin's film -Modern Times

 - just quickly - you're looking into a machine that's never going to work with 3 dimensional gearing. In the background is monarchy represented by a 2 dimensional castle like form, and primary colours.  Some dead trees represent the costs of this system, the papaya  to the fore represents our fruitfulness and the flowers are the  people (democratic reality) that get the machine working properly... not industry itself - but Awesome Industriousness.  Innovative thinking

The central motif - the brighter cog, the sun rises up and the two other wheels can turn properly... bit like the earth and the moon... which would make the people the stars... an awesomely balanced ORGANIC system of organisation. - M

Frames limit an artwork's ability to be expansive, active and energetic,to extend - the framing colour is of the purple family for higher knowledge.  Serpentine rays interconnect the layers within the work keeping it Unified.  Unified Field
