Laziness as the mother of invention saw us nut out ideas mentally rather than have to go to extensive rewriting and re-editing processes, available with cut and paste today. The mental dexterity developed was quite something. It simply does not happen the same way on computer. Of course it is still the creative process however the content will be different. Typewriter was scarey- too much paper. During one of our computer bust-ups I went back to writing on paper - an interesting time-warp. However for ease of editing, the laziness rules. The end-product is distinctly different though.
What can go wrong will go wrong... Technology becomes obsolete! Ahaha -did the marriage last longer than the wedding video-tape? What is video-tape anyway? You forget the save function! Computer needs maintainance. Produce toxic wastes and consumes electricity. |
