There's this old joke that describes a familiar frustration:
There's a bus driver in the south of US in the times of when black people and white people were separated. He's driving along one day and he gets pissed off with all the bickering. He slams on the brakes and he tells them "You can all get off the bus."
He gets all the passengers outside and gives them a thorough growling. "I'm sick of all this arguing! All this black and white business. I'm not having it any more - you're all green ok?"
